Tomas Smrcek

I was born in Prague, former Czechoslovakia in 1990, in one of those iconic concrete block flats that every film director loves to use as a backdrop. Funny coming back there for that reason now.

Through countless hours of watching films—and perhaps a stroke of luck—I was accepted into FAMU, the film university in Prague. By then, I was already working as a PA on service projects, gradually working my way up to service producing (this time, hopefully, through more than just luck).

With extensive experience in service production, I like to think that I’m good and analysing budgets into details. My film background helps me to find clever and creative ways how to achieve what the directors and Clients desire within the project constrains. Merging these skills together – transitioning to producing and collaborating with directors, agencies, and clients was a natural step.

It’s been a rewarding journey ever since.
