Carly Stone

I’ve been in the production industry for over 25 years. Fresh out of uni, I started on reception at the female-led Cowboy Films, where I worked alongside an esteemed calibre of production teams, directors, and founders, with very high expectations and accolades.

I’ve travelled the globe for shoots, working on features, music videos, and shorts, but eventually discovered my love for the pace and process of commercials.

At 27, I became the MD of the USA-based Crossroads Films, opening and running their London office. Then, with two female partners, I took the plunge and co-founded Madam Films, a UK service production company.

After 12 amazing years working with a variety of international clients and navigating service across the UK, I am now pursuing my passion for sustainability in production through Planet Positive Production (PPP).

I’ve taught budgeting at IPA and APA, been part of the APA Masterclass (as both a student and teacher), and I sit on the board of Green The Bid. You’ll often find me mentoring, promoting fair and inclusive behaviours, or speaking at industry events.
