Oleksii Smoliar

Oleksii has been a 1st Assistant Director since 2008.
He has been honing his skills for 15 years in the feature film arena and have done shoots in almost every genre, from artistic endeavours to high budget movies heavy on special effects.

In addition to his work on more than a dozen feature films, he has a wealth of experience shooting commercials for big international brands around the world.

He creates an energetic, motivated set and meticulously schedules, allowing his directors to get the best results out of every shooting day.

Oleksii takes great pride in his work and thrives on doing creative and challenging shoots in any genre, no matter the length or the location of the project.

He has seen, done and experienced much in his career, but what thrills him most about filmmaking overall is the chance to learn something new every single day.
