Ellen Claridge is a freelance Costume Designer and Stylist based in London.
After gaining a degree in Fashion Design: Womenswear at Central Saint Martins, Ellen has undertaken a wide ranging portfolio of work, including pattern cutting and design creation at Vivienne Westwood and designing, delivering and supervising costume for feature films, TV productions and commercials.
She has supervised for and assisted Designer Verity Hawkes (Snatch, Inkheart, Black Mirror) on feature films and large scale commercials. before progressing to designing herself.
Ellen is confident in designing both contemporary or period costume. Passionate about character-based design Ellen has extensive skills in costume design, making, breakdown, continuity and stunts/harness-rigs/fire/tank work. Ellen is well equipped and holds a large stock of contemporary costumes and accessories.
With a flair for colour, design and detail Ellen is a talented designer and fashion led stylist. She loves to embrace and fully achieve the vision and style of the director. Her work to date includes design for brands such as Lexus, Sky, Heinz, Adidas, Sony, Google, plus many more.
Ellen is experienced at working within strict budget constraints and she is skilful at budget management and reporting. She is an excellent communicator; familiar with performing under pressure, she thrives in challenging project and production conditions.
