Adam Saward

producer

 CV

One of a Producer’s key roles is to assemble the right people with the right skills.  No two jobs are the same and knowing the best people to hire for each one is vital.   Experience counts for a lot.

Whilst this business can be fun and exciting, and as a Producer it’s important to try and ensure that everyone on set is content, it’s a job, and it’s the work that comes first.

I have owned and run production companies.  I have produced low budget commercials with first time directors, table-top commercials, low budget and iconic music videos and massive commercials with A-list directors and celebrities.

I have shot in my own kitchen and all over the world but at the end of the day my priorities are always the same; to deliver on budget with a happy director, happy agency and clients that are delighted with the end results.

One of my favourite jobs was a documentary-type commercial with a tiny crew (and no agency or client) that involved a full day of hiking up a mountain in Mozambique beneath a scorching sun to reach a remote patch of rainforest where we stayed for 2 nights in tiny one-man tents.  We had to cook our own food on camping stoves and manage without any facilities at all.  I should perhaps point out that I am also very much at home staying in a nice hotel and eating at an excellent restaurant, but wherever I am it’s always about understanding the priorities and delivering what is required to keep them coming back for more.
