Nessie Appleton Smith

I am a creative, fast thinking person who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. I love working in a team and resolving problems. I have been freelance for the past three years, and throughout my time I have gained lots of experience in a variety of both production and AD departments within the commercial, stills and video world. I started as a runner, then worked my way up to 3rd AD working on over 100+ sets. My time as an AD has made me a strong communicator and problem solver. Working closely with talent, DOPs, Producers and Directors, I came to realise that Production was where I found myself making the most sense. Since then, I have been a freelance PA, working alongside some amazing Producers and PMs. I am always looking to expand my network and jump onto any type of Production. I love working in this industry as every day is different, each job teaches you something new and you meet so many amazingly creative people.
