Rory Shaw

I have worked on film sets since 2007, cutting my teeth as a runner on feature films for many years before moving permanently into commercials where I now work exclusively as a 1st AD. I have been fortunate enough to observe and learn from some of the leading crew in the world and can’t imagine enjoying anything else as much as this fantastic job.

I now live happily in Somerset with my wife Charlotte and two young children Willow and Rowan and enjoy my regular commutes to work to catch up on podcasts and music which get frowned upon at home.

I like to run a set with low volume, absolute communication, and minimal adrenaline where possible, although I can happily switch modes when appropriate.

It is a privilege to work in this industry with so many wonderful folk and very much hope to be doing so for many moons to come.
