RED MANAGEMENT

Melissa Eaton (neé Fallon)

production manager

My fascination for TV production began after being given the opportunity to be a background artist in a kid’s TV show and a music video whilst at school & college.  Although, I didn’t go straight into a media career, in fact, I came to work in Production much later than most.  After studying Fashion at university, I started out in Fashion PR, then worked in various admin roles in London, the Southeast and Sydney.

My first step into advertising was as a temp at the Media Agency OMD.  Following that I got a permanent job as Office Manager at HLA, a London based Production Company.  After a couple of years learning the ropes I took the plunge and went freelance as a Production Assistant, with little practical experience but a lot of enthusiasm.  After building up my production knowledge and whilst working on multiple shoots for one client back-to-back I moved up to Production Manager.  That was over a decade ago, and I’ve been PM’ing ever since.  More recently I’ve also started producing digital content films.
